Expected points
Points against the points the chances were worth: who has been lucky, and who has been unlucky.
Expected points (xPts) come from the shots: every match is replayed from the xG of each shot (a 0.3 xG shot goes in 30% of the time), which gives each team a chance of winning, drawing and losing that match, and so an expected number of points (3 × win chance + draw chance). Above the line (green) = more points than the chances deserved, below (red) = fewer. Over a whole season the difference usually shrinks, but it can be the difference between finishing in the top six or not.
Fixtures and predictions
Every fixture still to play, from WhoScored's fixtures list, with each side's chance of winning, the draw, the expected goals and a predicted score: a draw when the two win chances are within 10 points of each other, otherwise the likeliest winning score for the favourite. They come from the same ratings as the forecast above, so they change every time new results are added. A guide, not a tip: injuries and team news are not in it.
